Primary School SAFETY & Self-Defense Training
Two workshop options to keep your learners safe.
Age-appropriate safety skills for real-world situations
Every child deserves to feel safe, confident, and prepared.
Most unsafe situations start with blurred boundaries, confusion, secrecy, and discomfort that children don’t yet have the words for.
We offer two practical primary school safety programmes delivered on-site at schools: KICCK (Grade 1–7) and Personal Safety & Predator Awareness (Grades 4–7).
KICCK Program – Kids in Crisis Can Kick
Early safety skills for real-world situations.
Every child deserves to feel safe, confident and prepared no matter where they are.
The KICCK Program (Kids in Crisis Can Kick) is designed to give children the tools they need to recognize danger, set boundaries, and protect themselves in an age-appropriate way.
Young children may not have the strength to fight off an attacker, but they do have powerful weapons: awareness, instincts, and smart decision-making. This program teaches them how to use those strengths to stay out of harm’s way and respond effectively if they ever feel unsafe.
Why schools choose KICKK
Proactive Safety Education: Many schools teach academic skills, but personal safety is just as important. KICCK gives students the knowledge and confidence to make smart, safe choices.
Prevention First: We focus on recognising warning signs and avoiding danger before a situation escalates.
Age-Appropriate & Engaging: No fear tactics – just fun, interactive, and empowering lessons tailored to different age groups.
Taught by Experienced Female Instructors: Our team creates a nurturing yet no-nonsense environment where kids feel comfortable asking questions and learning practical skills.

PERSONAL SAFETY & PREDATOR AWARENESS
As children grow older, safety risks change. They spend more time away from parents, navigate peer pressure, attend camps and outings, use devices, and interact with a wider range of adults and older teens.
Children in Grades 4–7 sit in a vulnerable in-between stage where they are old enough to be targeted, young enough to doubt themselves, and often taught to be respectful, compliant, and quiet.
This workshop gives learners permission, language, and practical tools to trust themselves and get to safety.
Grades 4–5
Focus: Body safety, boundaries, and awareness using simple, empowering language.
Learners will cover:
- Trusting their gut when something feels wrong
- Safe vs unsafe touch
- Understanding “tricky people” (not just stranger danger)
- Safe vs unsafe secrets
- Who to go to for help
- Simple physical tools to break free and draw attention
Grades 6–7
Focus: Deeper awareness of grooming, social pressure, and real-world situations.
Learners will cover:
- How predators build trust (age-appropriate grooming awareness)
- What to do if a peer, older teen, or adult crosses a line
- Safety at camps, sleepovers, outings, and lifts from adults
- Online safety and protecting personal information
- Verbal and physical strategies to say no and get to safety quickly
- How to support a friend who feels unsafe
How sessions are facilitated
All sessions are led by experienced female instructors trained in child safety, trauma-informed facilitation, and practical self-defense.
The environment is calm, respectful, and empowering with no fear tactics, graphic content or pressure to share personal experiences.
